Day Three

Here are the joists with the vapor barrier in place
This picture shows all the joists in place as well as the
tarp I put up after my sunburn became too much to
bear

because somebody (probably Ricky) forgot that you need
two sets of sawhorse brackets

Tough day today. Things took longer than I had hoped. I decided today that you could probably accomplish three times as much with only one more set of hands. The right tools would help too. See the above picture of my makeshift work station. I also ended up drilling quite a few pilot holes to assist construction, (note that I had no drill bits and the hardware store was closed, so I broke off half a galvanized 16 penny nail and used it for the drill bit. It worked pretty well. I got most of the subfloor down today and will include a picture tomorrow when it is done.
Sidenote: Tongue and groove subfloor installed by yourself, not a good idea.
